The crispy nimko base — sev, gathiya, dal, chana and roasted peanuts — tossed in a savoury cheese seasoning with a little onion, garlic and white pepper.

The mild one. No chilli heat at all, which makes it the namkeen children actually finish and the one to put out when you are not sure who likes spice. Savoury and moreish rather than hot.

Real cheese powder, not just salt and colour. Most cheese-flavoured snacks in Pakistan taste of MSG and orange dye. This is seasoned to taste like cheese, which is why the colour is pale rather than bright orange.

Coated warm so the seasoning grips the sev instead of shaking loose in the bag.

Storage. Six months sealed. Once opened, reseal and finish within four weeks — cheese seasoning draws moisture faster than plain spice.
